• Over the past several years I have been on a gradual journey of settling into a more meaningful version of work. Practically for me, that has looked like a transition out of the exciting world of accounting and in pursuit of a focus on coaching and development.

“Coaching” can mean a lot of different things depending on the context or experience, so I’ll offer a simple working definition: I partner with people to help them discover natural areas of gifting and productively apply those to current challenges and future goals.

The most effective starting point that I’ve found is CliftonStrengths (formerly StrengthsFinder), a talent assessment tool developed by Gallup that helps people become more aware of their own gifts, as well as those inherent in others. (Check out this short video for a high level overview from Gallup.)

Despite its phenomenal impact on our lives, self-development often takes a backseat to the everyday demands of life and work. So whether you’re just beginning to wonder what coaching is all about, or you’re ready to dive right in, I appreciate you taking a step of curiosity to learn a little about my story and passion and I’m eager to learn how I might be able to support you on your journey!
